Metus Extends its Archive Support with Quantum's StorNext 5 Platform

Certifies Metus MAM-StorNext 5 Interoperability as New Member of Quantum Advantage Program.

Metus today announced the integration of its Metus MAM media asset management software with Quantums StorNext 5 workflow storage and collaboration platform. As a result, Metus MAM users can now take advantage of StorNexts advanced capabilities, including seamless archive to Quantums Q-Cloud Archive public cloud services and local or offsite LTO-based tape libraries for longer-term content retention. In addition, Metus MAM working in conjunction with Quantums Lattus object storage-based extended online system can greatly improve high-resolution workflow efficiency while keeping valuable assets safe and secure.

By using Metus MAM and StorNext, facilities can enjoy an end-to-end, high-performance production environment along with powerful and flexible archive capabilities that can span local sites and multiple geographical locations. In addition, because of the interoperability certification provided through Quantums Advantage Program for technology partners, customers can be confident the joint solution has been tested and validated to meet demanding workflow needs.

Quantum is a leading expert in storage for broadcast and post production environments, and we are delighted to be partnering with them. The relationship brings together two leading players to deliver excellent workflow advantages for new and existing customers,” says Mustafa Yilmaz, Managing Director of METUS.

A combined Metus MAM-Quantum StorNext solution enables users to access content not only in a single location but also from remote facilities on different networks by taking advantage of the rich StorNext 5 integration toolset and the Storage Manager object ID export feature. Metus MAM also provides administrators the ability to manage all global content directly from its graphical user interface. In addition, Metus MAM provides metadata synchronization across globally or regionally distributed sites, allowing access to content using its comprehensive search engine and fast content movement from a Lattus-based archive to online storage.

Were pleased to have Metus as a new member of the Quantum Advantage Program. We look forward to working together to provide customers with a highly scalable and cost-effective archive that enables them to maximize the value of their content over its lifecycle, says Anniek Snauwaert, Senior Manager, Technology Partners Worldwide, at Quantum.
