Dunya TV is a new regional TV channel in Gaziantep, installed with production equipment equivalent to national TV standards (for example SONY studio cameras, Omneon playout servers). Metus MAM,Ingest, and Logger products have been selected in this small but high level installation, for video archiving, broadcast quality ingest and compliance logging applications.
The ingest and archive format has been selected as XDCAM mxf. Files ingested from Metus in this format are automatically compatible with both Omneon playout servers, and Playbox Airbox servers which are used in the studios. It is possible to export playlists from Metus MAM to the Nverizon automation system that drives the Omneon. It is also possible to export playlists from Metus directly to Airbox, and remote control Airbox.
This installation broadcasts in multiple languages, therefore files are ingested and archived with multi channels of audio.
Metus manages a 20TB, 5 client archive in this installation, as of Q1 2010, with support of AVKOM Technology
