Metus was at Sony Star Event 2010 conference which was held in 12-13 February. It was shown how to use Metus Mam from inside Sony Vegas Pro and its facilities to Vegas Pro users with a live demo.

A Metus Library Mam extension is installed on the workstation where Sony Vegas Pro is installed. After installing this extension, there appear a windows inside Vegas, the editor is able to browse and search the central archive according to the permissions. Editor can simply drag and drop the desired content to Vegas timeline. One of the advantages of Metus Mam extension is that when the editor works with the proxy (hi-res) of the content at all stages. After edit finishes, when the editor renders the project, Metus extension switches the proxy (low-res) content with the hi-res.  

Another advantage is that neither proxy nor hi-res content is copied to local workstation, but all content is used from the central storage without any copy operation.

Also, if the option is enabled, then the editor can switch between hi-res and low-res at any time with a single button.
