After 3 months of trial period, Voen TV starts using Metus Media Asset Management Solution for its digital archive.
 
All Voen TV users started using the digital media archive according to their security rights without installing any software, using standard web browsers. Metus Library's full integration with company's existing tape libray give a chance to archive all hi-res media to tape libraries automatically and access anytime.

With the help of Metus Library's automatically media proxy (low-res) creation functionlity, Users use low-res copy in order not to busy the network.   
 

Mainly hi-res media format: DV25 (.mov)
Proxy media format: Wmv

Hi-res media is archived in Tape Library and Proxies are archived in online storage (5 TB).  2 TB of storage is used for Tape cache.

When a media is archived, proxy is created automatically and hi-res media is archived in Tapes automatically. All tapes in Tape library has a barcode and this barcode information can be capture by Metus Library for searching and other purposes. The barcode is saved in database as a metus metadata.

There are two power users doing the archiving and metadata entering operation and other administration tasks such as defining users and groups and managing the archive. All other end-users are browser client users and they use browsers such as Safari, Firefox, or Internet explorer. No installation is needed in end-user side. End-users are mainly MAC users. Those end-users can also do the archiving and metadata entering operation useing the browser version of Metus Library.
