Does Metus Ingest Pro ingest from a standard Firewire port? Can I use any Firewire card or does it have to be a specific model ? |

Metus Ingest supports firewire and usb devices as far as the device has driver (DirectShow filter).
Metus Ingest also supports controling devices via firewire such as controlling DVCAM etc.

Which capture cards does Metus Ingest support?

Metus Ingest supports all models of ;
- Black Magic Decklink: Decklink Studio, Decklink HD Extreme, Decklink Duo, Decklink Quad:
- Viewcast Osprey: Osprey 210, Osprey 440, Osprey 450e, Osprey 260e, Osprey 460e.
- Digital Rapid DRC cards: DRC 500, DRC 1400
- Deltacast: all models of sdi. Deltacast sd e-10, e-20, e40, Deltacast HD e-10, e-20, e-40
Metus Ingest also supports other capture cards that has DirectShow capture filter. But in that case the card settings should be done externally. Metus Ingest also suppors audio capture cards such as M-Audio, etc for audio only capturing.

Can I capture 5 channels of video/audio in a single machine? |

Yes, You can capture 5 SD channels in one machine. However due to hardware limitation you cannot capture 5 channels of SD H.264 in one machine.

I am recording in DV25 format. When I try to use this recorded video in edit software or try to play I see flicker in Video. |

Please also make sure that your source and target fields are the same. F.e, Source 720x 486 but target DV format is 720x 480, then you need to crop those 6 fields. Please see Metus Ingest Profile Settings on Manual for cropping.
if source and target fields are the same, then do below settings.
Please use below settings for DV profile;
Video Basic:
Source Interlacing: Top Field First
Field Swap: Top Line Crop
