RECORDING

As it’s seen in the schema below fter the video and the audio is transmitted via digital receiver and antenna Metus Ingest can record them in different formats for 7/24 using it’s Multichannel , Multiformat recording function.

These records can be archived as long as the storage capacity meets the demand and also can be transfered to any other location on the network for the archiving requirement.

Streaming and remote control functions enables the records to be analyzed over a Network by a remote user.

Scheduling function lets the user to assign date and time for recording to start or stop.

ARCHIVING

Although digital broadcasting is famous in Broadcasting companies the records in Betacam and VHS formats are still taking place in dusty shelves. These record can be digitized and archived using Metus Ingest.

As the amount of digital data rises the time spent to find the needed record also rises. This started to be a really time consuming process. Metus Libraries’ dynamic, expandable and customizable metadata fields are perfect solutions in order to meet this demand. Users can define searc criterias to their records and can search their database according to these criterias.

The ability to transcode files enables the users to have their records in different file formats. As you can see in the schema below the files can be transcoded to each other. Low quality preview copies for the audio and video files can be generated by the help of Proxy function.
