Metus Ingest is a multichannel, multiformat video recording application. People need to record video for various reasons. For archiving , sharing, streaming, distributing and many more. Every need has its own sub needs. These can be different formats, different sizes, different bit rates. Also many different video sources is used for obtaining video. Satellite feeds, live studio feeds, VTR's, file sources can be some.
Metus Ingest was developed to have an answer for everyday video recording needs. It can record video in mpeg1, mpeg2, dv25, wmv, uncompressed and h264. The size of the video and the bitrate is adjustable. It accepts signals from composite, Y/C, component, SDI sources. On the audio side signals from analog and digital sources are accepted. The recording can be triggered manually, by an ip command or by VTR's controlled on RS422 connection. On the RS422 side batch capturing is allowed.
Metus Ingest can record from one source to multiple formats at the same time. Also from more then one sources and to more then one formats are supported. Unique features like file splitting, capturing long films which are spanning to multiple casettes into one file via RS422 are included. To even expanding the possibilities more, control with IP commands are supported.
